Well i finally finished my AK-47 and comes in at around 13000 triangles. It took a wile because i have been doing revision for exams and stuff.. soo not much time to be modeling. I have made no effot in optomizing or anything just because it was just a model to look cool, i hadn't dont any modeling for a wile so this was just a project to get me back into the swing of things and im pritty pleased at how it turned out.

Ill post another cople more renders abit later tonight.

C+C would be great :)

Why not an AK-74, they're more up to date and widely used now then that father of modern rifles.

Anyways, nice model

I made an AK just because they are such cool guns :) Im not botherd what gun is most widely used or anything like that. I just like AK's they are classics.

Wow awesome! Did you made it for some mod?

Nope, no mod. Just made to look cool.

and cool it does look, how many polies did that spring in the mechanism add? Looks heavy.... heh

Could you use a program to simplify that and whack it in a mod?

omg :O :O :O *Jaw hits the ground* they look f00king awesome!!!

Yea the spring was really heavy, 6000 faces hehe :) but it just wanted to model all the details so im not to fussed on the polly count.

Im not a skinner my self by if anyone wants to give it a go ill be quite happy to send you the max file. As long as you mention the modeler :)

still...couldnt you simplify it with some kind of LOD program (if they exist) and whack it in a mod, it's too well designed not to be used.

humm will i have never used one so probly wouldnt know how or where to get it from :S

hmm, nice model, parts are very nice to look at, but dont you think its a bit boxy for a high poly model ?

ps. can i see a wire of the un-subd mesh ?

i supose i should of added some more sections to the clip but i started to get abit lazy at the end :(

looks awsome! though render it and use less compression!

now all you have left to do is modle the bullets and the rest of of the interior of the rifle, and animate it all :p

...oh yeah, and use catmull-rom for rendering god damn you. it gives a much better look, sharp edges, none of these cacky soft edges, and it survives well when you compress it.

yeah do some HB work you lousy bum! i'm talking to you too random.hero! :)

Not much is going on in hellblaze because no one knows whats going on :/

lol i dont even know how to draw a line in photo shop :p

when you could find a mesher id skin it :)

id love to do this :)
