Higher Res Beter FPS?

I have a question with my system why when i increase the res the FPS goes higher and game is smoother...isnt lower res = beta FPS? Example when at 800*600 EVERYTHING highest i get average 37 FPS and when at 1280*1024 i get 44 FPS? lol its good for me but i wonder y?

Could be a driver issue that chokes performance at 800x600, or maybe the drivers disable AA/AF at 1280x1024.. Could be anything really.

Doubt it, but I'd love a card like that. I dunno why it would do that, who knows? Oh well. Sounds like a very good thing to me.

Might be that you have older catalyst drivers then?

(I'm lazy, I'm running DirectX 9.0b instead of c and catalyst 4.8 instead of 4.9, heh, I'll get some new ones when I feel like it )

I would get dx9.0c but you don't need the 4.9's. I would get them anyway.

i have everythinhig updated lol dxc and 4.9.....or mabey its cuz at lower res the CPU does more work?...well all i noe is ...im lucky :thumbs:
