Hijab or Nude?

An interesting observation I have made. Muslim woman who cover their head and body report very similar benefits as ... nudists.



So why do Muslim cover themselves entirely, with the exception of their eyes?

The answer to the question is very simple - Muslim women observe HIJAB (covering the head and the body) because Allah has told them to do so.

"O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women to draw their outer garments around them (when they go out or are among men). That is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims) and not annoyed..." (Qur'an 33:59)

OK, firstly they say, because Allah has told them to do so.

Now this is just my ignorant opinion, but isn't being born naked enough to tell you that it is natural and normal? God told you to wear clothes? Why weren't we born with clothes a part of our bodies if god wanted it so?


Let's move on.

Next, other reasons Muslim women wear a Hajib and veil:

Anyone who sees her will know that she is a Muslim and has a good moral character. As a chaste, modest, pure woman, she does not want her sexuality to enter into interactions with men in the smallest degree. A woman who covers herself is concealing her sexuality but allowing her femininity to be brought out.

This is almost exactly what nudists claim. The same feelings of equality.

Many people say that being nude in groups makes them feel more accepted for their entire being ? physical, intellectual and emotional. They say that they tend to be more accepted, in spite of differences in age, body shape, fitness, and health. Without clothing, one's social rank is generally obscured. They report feeling more united with humanity, with less regard to a person's wealth, position, nationality, race, and sex.

Also, they get punished (severely?) for not covering up. And if it was only about freedom from judgment of appearances, they wouldn't be punished for deviating. Whereas nudists are allowed to wear clothes if they suddenly wanted to. For all we know, they might have just been taught that it "frees" them when they cover up.

Also, nudity is the ultimate symbol of acceptance, strength, and lack of shame. Wearing clothes means you are ashamed of yourself being fully exposed and are therefore weak. But I guess that only applies if you wear clothes so that people can't see you naked for shame, and not because it's socially unacceptable to be naked in public (I mean if you can be comfortable naked, but you wear clothes for the sake of others)

This, and the rest of your post is off the topic, I'm not comparing the Muslim religion to nudism. The topic is the amazing similarities in the feelings of equality, and longer being treated as a sex object from the completely contrasting ideologies, full clothed vs. full nude.

There are nudists all over the world just like there are Muslims all over the world. Those rules don't always apply.

Not necessarily, many Muslim women choose to wear it, and are not punished.

Nudists are expected to remain nude. It is highly frowned upon except under certain circumstances, like harsh weather.

The Hijab (not just the headscarf) was used for over a couple of thousand year prior to Islam even being popularized or created. These people lived in hot deserts and had to endure sandstorms etc. It would be logical to be covered up to protect themselves.

If Muslim women think wearing a matress cover makes their personalities shine through, in a religion where women are best not seen let alone heard, they are obviously not thinking straight.

Take the UK, you see Muslim women wearing everything from hijabs to headscarves to completely normal clothing. The women who wear the hijab here are doing it out of choice, for their own moral and religious reasons, just like nudists choose to wear no clothes at all. Remember that back when the Church has most of the power in Europe, like the Ayatollahs of Iran, they did brutal things to women, with very similar rules about what they should/should not wear. Muslims in countries with freedom aren't deserved of bigoted scorn, it is their choice, and they can choose so with dignity.

meh no real difference between hijabs and jewish women who wear wigs or veils in public because they cant expose their own hair to other males ..some even shave their heads. And it's not just limited to hair; they must cover up most of their bodies at all times, it's just not as visible as because besides looking like they stepped out of Amish country they're not visible as muslims who practice hijab.
