Hillary Clinton jumps on the blame video games bandwagon

In USA the mature rating of a game is 17+

All thats going to happen is that the rating will be larger, more brightly displayed with the reasons it has that rating written in bolder, larger, brighter text, and the mature age will be raised from 17 to 18 +.

I am phsycic.

For Example, on the back of my World of Warcraft box in a small black and white rectangular box, it says:

In a few years it will look like this:

Yea I was reading over this and read something about "Heavy metal was blamed in the 90's"

Thats true, and Rap was being blamed for a ton of things also

Now they have put the blame to Video games.

Well of course if your impressionable child about 11 years old sees a porn movie, a violent movie, listens to his favorite song with lyrics like "kill your mother kill your father" etc., of course he is influenced.

But I heard those kinds of lyrics when I was 11 years old, and I would never hurt my parents.

Yes they can get bad ideas, but if the child has half a parent( I know I was only raised on 1 parent), they should know right from wrong, and real from make-believe.

I remember when I was really little, I was scared of scary movies, and my mother (who was always at work and raised 4 kids on her own) she still had time to be with me and to raise me right. She said, "don't be scared, they are just pretending. It's make-believe"

If your child is a phsyco mofo, don't buy him a hunting rifle... DUH
:hmph:
Bottom Line: Give a shit about your children- talk with them and visit with them, whether they like it or not.

I mean COME ON! the game is called "GRAND THEFT AUTO" and has guns all over the cover!
Get a clue! Its obviously not for children!

Buy them a Nintendo instead, like my brothers did for thier kids.
Its got alot less violent games . (period)

They make the ESRB for a reason! Don't blame the developers when you were the one who bought the 17+ rated game which is clearly stated on the front and back of the game box.

Of course its logical to blame video games for how our children act, because if they went to the true source of dysfunction they would find that the adults are the ones who turn these children on to violence.

Parents who neglect their children, substitute personal time with them for TV and video games.. Parents who don't take a pro active role in explaining life to their children and aiding their growht as members of a society. They turn on their TV babysitters every day and see news of war, violence, murders, car bombs, torture, etc. etc. Yet no one points fingers in that direction.

Its very clear to me who is to blame for a child who loses control of reality... And it isn't the video game they played, its the parent who didn't prevent them from playing the game.. THAT IS MARKED FOR SALE TO ADULTS 17 AND UP.... /end rant

Well I was able to buy GTA3 from Best Buy when I was 16, though the beard might have fooled them.

Best Buy doesnt care how old you are
I bought GTA3 when I was 14 at Best Buy

/me places Lemonking under citizens arrest and alerts the authorities.

This whole thing is silly, they can't and won't ban video games.

If you dont show interest in ur kids hobby
and then try to blame companies like Rockstar...
those people dont deserve to be parents
<Backhands Lemonking> NO! BAD! Ikerous is the one who's supposed to post in stanza form. Naughty Lemonking!

There: Conclusive proof that videogames cause violence.
