HL² stopped working; won't run...

Monday, I was playing HL².

Tuesday, HL² : DeathMatch came out.

After I downloaded it, I tried to play some games that night, but it would just spin the CD and not do anything.

I've rebooted several times, turned off my PC, and nothing will make the game start to play.


Has anyone else run into this problem?

where's my Half-Life²?

Do a search on the forums, this is quite common. Many ppl had probs when they installed HL2DM. It seems there was a bug, but Valve fixed it. Exit steam and reenter to get the update.

my steam gets stuck on connecting

it downloaded the hl2 dm and restarted and fudged im well pissed i wanna play my hl2 DM 1!!!

Any ideas why it fudged ?

I've read all the "Support Questions" on that site, and still my problem isn't listed.

It's not listed under anything obvious, at least.

My problem was a bug (I guess).

When I restarted Steam, it worked fine. It let me play HL²DM.

Now I love the DeathMatch. That Gravity Gun thing has some potential.
