Hi All,
not sure if this has been asked before, but i heard that HL:Source will be available with the retail version of HL2. i was wondering if this will also be available if you order the game from steam?

thanks

maybe it will be secretly released with the 3rd Phase of the HL2 Pre-Load. That would be coool

now i definately going to buy from Valve, one because i hate Vivendi and two because the rumor is that they (Vivendi)will not release the game until November. i am hoping it will be available on steam before then.

Regardless of whether or not it comes with HL2, it will surely be available over steam.

I hate VU. First they take away my beloved Sierra, then they go all gay and delay HL2 up the arse, and the only person I want to benefit from my money is Valve. So Steam it is.

Steam release is at the same date as the retail release, my friend... :O

VU has nothing to do with the delays.

you'll probably find VU get a share of steam sales too. A game publisher gets exclusive rights to distrubute a game. We don't know what they're contract is though, so yeah.

If they are pre loading all the files now, chances are the game is done and ready to be released. So it is VU's fault we have to wait until november, because we all know publishers are greedy bastards who want to cash in on the holiday season.

Why oh why do people create such misleading thread names? "HL:S available via steam with HL2"; that is an assertion.

Throw an "is" in front of that, or an "I wonder if HL:S is..." please :(.
