To stop the RC(unless you're a fool who won't accept things from Gearbox installments)Zaffino said:well, ive beaten half life along time ago the first one that is, and i was just wondering, what is the importance of the sateliite that you launch? it has just been getting to me , what was the point of it?
What about the Portal Storms? I dont think killing the Nilanth stopped, the portals, it just made them unstable, so Xen wildlife started pouring in to Earthoperative lm said:To expand on what riomhaire said:
In HL: Decay, Dr. Keller needed the satellite launched to create a Resonance Reversal that would, in theory, shrink the portal that was teleporting the aliens to earth down to nothingness. That's where Gordon comes in. He launches the satellite, and the Resonance Reversal is started, but the Nihilanth begins to hold open the portal so that the Xen army (not stuff like bullsquids and houndeyes, just the Vortigaunts and Controllers and stuff) can continue through.
But then Gordon kills the Nihilanth and everything goes back to normal until the Combine arrive.
More likly the death of Nihily kick-started the Portal Storms.operative lm said:To expand on what riomhaire said:
