hl1 easter egg

I was playing hl1 SP over steam a bit and began to use some cheats (noclip and god ) And began to explore some parts of the maps, on c2a2b (the begining of the train episode), over the huge rocket, where you not supposed to reach, i saw a dark area :

Then turning the flashlight on :

It's on a wall that scale to the left very fast

Ok flame me if you want cause its not a huge easter egg and it has nothing to do with hl² but it's funny a bit :cheese:

edit: I sighed in relief when I saw the second picture. I thought you thought that the black hole was an easter egg. I don't think people are stupid or anything, but after reading some of the things people thought were easter eggs in those HL2 videos... well... I lost faith in humanity.

No doubt that when hl1 was released, all easter eggs were discovered and posted, but i never heard about this one and i just found it really lucky by playing 10 mins And his face realy looks like gabe's one.

That's not an easter egg. that texture is used for clipping planes etc in Worldcraft. I'd imagine that was an entity once, they switched it to being a worldbrush, and forgot /didn't need to change the texture.

I make maps and thats just an Triger texture, heh

the entity texture is the pink lambda. The clipping texture is the one shown in your screenshot. It was also re-coloured white and green for the 'origin' texture.

Sorry, but it really does look like a bit that was made and not converted to entity, and wasnt removed. Not really an easter egg, but still.. nice find!

Wonder how long it will take people to find things like that in HL2. Another 5 years?
