After watching the ending sequence of the 600 MB video I came to the conclusion:

G-man makes the deal with gordon.. but why? why him? because he is the only one strong enough to survive.

My theory is that G-man wanted gordon to test on.. they did.. and after a bad experiment(possibly teleportation.. tons of things) gordon went into a coma as he was being rushed to the lab to try and keep him alive.. he saw the things we saw in the ending(in no real order):

He saw the horse.. like the one in City 17.. as if the lab was stationed there..

he saw black ops(two figures in the picture wearing black indicate the government being involved)

and the writing explains what the scientists could of said.. or what his Hev suit said..

then of course.. G-man.. the last thing you see before you go into a coma

correct me on any errors I made.. if there was some way this theory couldnt be possible.

"we can rebuild him.... make him better...."

sry, the thought of gordon going through these delusional episodes and the image of him in his HEV suit being rushed to the hospital just reminded me of the million dollar man. I don't know why.

Comeon people.. post more opinions on my theory.. its got me all hyped up now.. that I could be right.. well.. maybe..

My elongated highly professional and hypothetical opinion is:

k

edit - LOOK AT MY POST COUNT.

well atleast more people will see it now.. richard simmons thanks you

Maybe the gordon you play is a clone and thats why he cant remember anything lol...and when he first woke up he saw the g man and that why he can only remember the g man

Maybe Gordon is a robot, and u find out at the end of hl2 that ur a robot, Alyx's robot, dog!

Note that the first thing you hear after the experiment goes awry at Black Mesa is heavy breathing and his heart beat. At the end, after he jumps into the portal the next (and last) thing you hear is the same heavy breathing and heart beat. I don't know what they have in common, but something.

I think that this whole matter has been over complicated. If the G-Man has the technology to transport--you, himself, aliens, anybody else--wherever the hell he wants. Make his way through Black Mesa without anything but a breifcase and know everything that's happened to you on your own journy...

...don't you think that he just mite have the technology to freeze you in time, or put you into some sort of suspended-animation until he has decided that he needs your help. That's my theory anyway...

Then again I could be over simplifying it...I guess we'll just have to wait until Sept. 30th to find out.

We don't know that G-Man is alien yet... thats just a theory.. like mine.. even stated in another thread the hl1 source code read that g-man was: Misunderstood servant of the people.

Although.. gordon could easily be alien/cyborg.. cyborgs can die.. you know.. the game is called Half-Life.. that kinda gives something away
