Hey everyone, I've been lurking here for a while, but I finally found a good question to ask.

Who is the baby in the picture in Gordon's locker? Is he married? Or mabye a cousin or sister or something?

Just been bugging me. Thanks for any answers.

No one knows, valve hasn't released anything about it.

Thanks. I just restarted HL1, and it was really bugging me. Mabye we'll find out in HL2!

Oh boy.. Not this again :P

This was brought up several months ago, and I believe it was decided that it was just somthing the level dev team put in there for the hell of it.

my guess is that in the first one it was supposed to mean he had a kid. It was such a small thing however so they could easily act like it wasnt there for the 2nd one. If the storyline doesnt permit him having a kid i mean.

That would be funny, but I do remember the baby being caucasian with blue eyes. Kind of opposite of Alyx.

i am pretty sure that it was there for esthetics more than actual storytelling.. cause you gotta remember when they talk about hL1 they (valve) sometimes mention that they cut alot of stuff out and or the add some stuff quickly when it was go time,..

on a side note. : i loved the 2004 E3 vids but i didn't like the fact that they showed us 15 mins into the game.. i don't know it will still rock but i have watched it 40 - 50 times already.
it will still rock.. woooo any day now .. woooo woo yaa woo tunk. ..uff...

I always thought it was a child of a someone at valve....

Thought i read that some where.....

Can you back that up please, chimpmunk?

It was in the manual. It specifically said that Gordon had NO dependants in a letter from Black Mesa to him, which made him a good candidate for whatever job he accepted.

Ya but we've only seen 50 minutes of a 30hour(give or take) game. Not to mention that a majority of the first e3vid showed off source and not gameplay, tie that in with double strider and cs:s vids from the 2004 e3 and we've only seen halfanhour of a 30 hour game.
