Hmm, would a guy from Gearbox come here and call some of us pathetic? And why do I find that "And please don't ask me any questions, especially PM..." comment somewhat amusing? That's a hard one.

I used the same tactics when I managed to trick the entire City-17.net forum community that I was a Valve employee. :naughty:

Sure you guys can think as you please...
But I would think Valve is getting close.. or at least I HOPE they are.
I'm sure theres a game dictionary or glossary or something that defines the term "alpha" and "beta" for the public's understanding

And the comments about me "bragging" about Gearbox...
That was not my intention at all. I was just using it as a reference
to show the differences in how the term is used.
For example, past mods I've worked on, some coin the mod "alpha" when they have 2 lines of code and a few art resources.
Others dont use "alpha" until most/all of the features are in the game.
