Hl2 Animating

Is animating hl2 models any diffrent from HL? Is there some new rigging. And when/how are we suppose to get our hands on hl2/hl2dm models!?

Please post all references! I would greatly aprreciate it.

i think its the source engine and they had to design new characters of course but i dunno how they animated them im sure the source engine had a huge part in it
