I made this tonight for some reason. I think the picture of the Strider I used was the one from the offical HL2 web site in that secret thing. The hanger is a picture I took at a decomissioned, and mostly abandoned, military air force base in California.
It didn't take too much to do, but I thought it would be neat anyway.

Yeah, I wondered about that a bit. I'm not sure if its easy to tell that I was trying to ge the effect that the walls were disinigrating or something because you can see the striders one leg through parts of the wall.
And I've always had a thing for diffuse glow So I just can't get enough.

Also, if the light is behind the strider like that then the strider should be very dark, you will just see the shape, not much color at all.

I should have thought about that...

I just made another one that I'll put up right now. Then I'm gonna go back and make them a little darker and see how that looks.

actually, the ground surface around the building where all the daylight is hitting on will reflect the light against the strider, so this is pretty realistic

Ok, here is my second picture. Same Strider, same abandond hanger. I'm going to do the darker thing right now, but this is what I've got so far.

There is that, oh...... and there is also the fact that the other side of the hanger was open.

But still....these are things you wouldn't really know when looking at the picture.(most people wouldn't think about it) I think making the strider at least a little darker will make it look a little better.

We'll just see.

If anyone cares.....here are the original pictures I used for these 2 pics, just as they were straight from the camera.

I've been wanting to do something with my El Toro pictures (I have about 500 from my 2 days there) So I'm glad I could put a little HL2 in em' .

What would be cool is to have just the silhouette of the Strider, crouched down, peeking in through the doorway, and maybe the silhouette of a couple of combine standing right below him (or the gman).

Ok.........I'm doing another in the Strider searies...... ( I know I'm using the strider pic alot....but its a damn good shot of it and it would be horrible to let it go to waist )

This one...........geez....... I'm close to done with it, but so far I've been working on it for about 3 hours. When you see it you hopefully wont see why. I think.... I don't know. It might be one of those pictures where if you can't tell whats been done, then good for me. What ever. I'm just starting to learn more and more stuff with photoshop ( I learn by just messing around alot ) And man, this one, I'm just figuring out all sorts of crap I can do.
I'll have it up in the morning. I need to be up at 7 for the gas man.

Ok, here's the last one I did. Took forver. Please tell me its good, becaus if I spent 4 hours on something to have it come out as crap, I'm just gonna quit.
But keep up the critiquin', it keeps me sharp .

I'll tell you all of the amazingly long prosess I went through to make it later. Or I wont if no one cares. Its no biggie

i'm sorry to say this, but i think it near the white part of the tower, the legs are too straight, try making it more like the reflection of the tower, a little more distorted
