HL2 Auto-unlock macro

I made a mouse macro to auto-unlock steam at 3:05am EST. My only problem is that, will HL2 move from "coming soon" to "my games" before I unlock it, or after?

Anyway, here's a tutorial for you ubergeeks:

1. Download "GhostMouse 2.0": http://www.downlinx.com/proghtml/40/4061.htm

2. Install it (duh)

3a. Start making a macro (b-d are done while you are recording)
3b. Go to Start > Run
3c. Type "steam://" (make sure that "steam://" will be there when the script runs at the predefined time. It doesnt record keyboard input!)
3d. Wait till steam loads, and finish off the steps to go to your Play Games list and double-click Half Life 2.

4. DON'T CLOSE STEAM BEFORE STOPPING THE MACRO! Stop recording, then close steam.

5. Save your macro. You can run it once to test it, but afterwards, make sure you save it.

6. Go and double click the macro file, then associate it (laymans terms: make it so it opens with) GhostMouse. GMouse.exe should be in C:\gmouse20\gmouse.exe

7. Go to Start > control panel > scheduled tasks

8. Drag your macro file to the scheduled tasks.

9. Schedule it to run once, at the time that HL2 is released. Since HL2 here is released at 3AM, I set it to run at 3:05am to be safe.

10. Relax and go to sleep. Hopefully HL2 will be unlocked for you in the morning/later/whatever.

....but then i have to leave my pc on while i am asleep. It is next to my bed, with 6 fans going :|

haha, n1! (for those that can use it)

you know you COULD just set a windows task schedule to run STEAM at the right time.

LAFFO

PHEH! I like doing it the hard way...besides, that may not do it.

for all you know it could be done automatically... with no macro needed

man, guys dont be so harsh. sounds like he put quite a lot of time into this thing.

I will be sure not to use this devishly completed procedure. I'll just get up at 3:00 and do it myself.

No offense, but if you're going to set it to run while you sleep, just WAIT TILL YOU WAKE UP so you don't over-tax the servers.
