hl2 CVG preview now available to all

They got it wrong. It's not going to happen. Don't get your hopes up.

Fully destructable eh. Man, if you wasted enough poly's you could do that in HL1,
They won't make it fully destructable, becouse you can then blow up key area's you need to get through.
I'm sure there will be plenty of destructable area's. but not fully.

No?.....not even a janitor? Damn, well then you must be the most knowledged man on source engine in the world! Cuz only you seem to know for 100% sure that there is definately no destructable enviornment. So since you know so much for sure why don't you tell us all about source yeah SHUT UP

Right back at ya buddy.

The video's valve has released so far by themselves prove not everything is fully destructable, partly yeah, fully, not everything.

if only i was talking to you.....who ARE you?

edit: oh yea because valve wouldnt be able to just NOT purposely destroy buildings......

I doubt there is fully destructable buildings. Not gonna happen in my opinion. Don't really care either, as I don't think it would work very well.

FULLY is rediculous. I think they're trying to say there is alot more destructable then we think.

Perhaps. I'm still doubting it, but we'll see of course.

more destructible than we think, as well as a lot of debris flying everywhere. ive seen that stated several times from peoples reviews or from visitors to valve. they report that firefights arer crazy with stuff flying everywhere. thats all i ask for, i dont think total destruction is necessary.

Of course fully destructable would be rediculous, thats why I ****ing said it wasn't happening. There's no need for personal insults.

o_O How was what he said insulting or anything?

Fully destructable buildings my ass. Thats as much bullshit as the fire thing. Clearly only happens in certain areas.

Oh I see, sorry then :d.

Anway, on the topic-
I did think his writing style was poor, but I liked what I heard (even though the rest of the magazines also played these levels)

Just wish they had some new info about weapons and such

Come on, I could write better prose than he could when I was in the fourth grade.

I enjoyed the article, and I didn't mind the "explicit languange" used in it.

Judging by that article, it seems as if he's been watching the E3 demo, not playing the game! I would say this is most likely the case......

Then again, I'm just a cynic

He seems like an immature little brat who's lying through he's teeth judging from the way he writes. :p

Dude, quite simply - if the environment, terrain and scenery of HL2 was indeed fully destructable Valve would have flaunted it from the highest heavens from the word go. They would not have mentioned it as a side-note when the release is closing in (theoretically, at least)
