still a really fun game, it can be hard to get into if you are just starting, Lots of newbie servers to pick from to get started though which is great because jumping onto an advanced server with players with many years exp, can be tough if you come from a tatical shooter, or if you have never played a deathmatch game. Quake/UT and other deathmatch players pick up the game quickly once they understand that the game may not be as fast but the kills come way faster.

If you find you enjoy the game check out #hl2dm as there are many players there that are willing to take time out to teach new players how the game works and advanced tricks/jumps that you can do in-game.
