HL2 DM lag h4x?

I've searched for about 20 minutes, didnt find anything. Anyway I was playing HL2 : DM and my connection to the net is weirding up recently. But since this, I've had "speed hax" and "Fly Hax" I'd jump and i'd go zooming, and I'd leap off a ledge, and I'd go flying. I've got demos up for anyone who wants to see?

Yeah, I've had this problem too I think. You think you're laggin bad (you prolly are) and suddlenly you go flying up in the air. It's rather cool actually.

Hl2dm's netcode needs some serious work IMO.

I get the same thing,sometimes it feels like i am bouncing around the level.Its the code of the game,sometimes restarting the game helps.I hope they fix this in the next update.

The server is crap or if it's a custom map there are problems with custom maps which can cause this.

I experience this "swimming" too, mostly after some time playing. But it doesnt always happen.

What i experience much more often, is "freeze lag". It looks like this : Play 10 Seconds, Network freezes for 5 seconds, play 10 Sec... and so on. Never seen that in any other game but HL2DM. They should definatly look into the netcode some.

if you are running a firewall in the background try turning it off.I had the excat same thing happen and this worked for me.

I have had the same problem... it is like you are on iceskates sometimes. It is not a custom map thing because it has happened to me on overwatch also. If you rejoin the server it fixes it for me.

ya rejoining fixes. But i'd rather have people calling me a hacker when I'm not
