First, are you sure its not ZD soft making you lag?

Second, why the f*ck did you take a barrel right up to the turret? Heard of grenades?

Not my video, I just found it while googling for answers for my problem.

Its way better to take something like a barrel. You just nudge it into the turret at the end. It also obv. saves ammo.. but then if I remember rightly, there is a crate of grenades nearby. So yeh, maybe he should of :p

I have the same problem.
Half Life 2 and episode 1 give no problem, but episode 2 gives me also the funny walking bug. I tried different video drivers but found nothing.

my system is:
asus p5w dh deluxe, ati radeon x1950xtx crossfired with 8.1 catalystic driver, 2 gig ddr2 memory, windows vista 32 with all available updates.

Stop jumping and it will go away.

Does it happen anywhere specifically?

Have you tried Valve's Support?

Walking, I think you mean crouching.

It looks to me like something is interrupting the crouch key's input. Thus causing you to stand up for just a split second, then crouch down again. Your keyboard isn't busted is it? If not, it might be some kind of software issue, but I have no idea what. Then again, I might be barking up the wrong tree to begin with.

Keyboard works fine. In other games no problem. (like half life 2 and EP1)
It seems that it happens more in the open field scenes when walking.
Also, I am not jumping or crouching or whatever, just walking.
Found nothing at Valve's support. Can someone with the same problem give his machine specs?

I am having the exact same issue.

System specs -
AMD64 3200+
MSI K8N Neo2 MB
PNY 6800gt
1 gig of Kingston Hyper X

Running latest WHQL drivers from Nvidia site
Running Windows XP SP 2

Me too, its anoying as hell. I doubt its hardware related but these are my specs anyhoo:

E6600 core 2 duo
ASUS P5W DH
Zotac 8800GT
2 Gig ocz

yeah - i have this issue too. The screen judder is too fast for it to just be random jumping. also, ill echo the comment that it definately seems to be most common when walking outside on grassy surfaces.
specs:

pentium D 3.4 ghz
2 gig ddr2 ram
gigabyte 8800GT

running Windows XP Media Centre 2002 edition with SP2

i also occasionally find that the screen will judder much more when i come to a stop after walking than it actually does whilst im walking.

Its not your computers fault. Its the game's.

I had this problem before and i was using the ep2 from the orange box.

i downloaded another version of half life 2 episode two and the problem was gone
