HL2 ep3 question

I know this is a little off topic but it is a question regarding EP3. I know when it is available that it will be released on Steam for PC. But for console owners, will it be released as downloadable content or will it be released on a dvd by itself or in another bundle (ie orange box + EP3).

Probably yes. It would be lame if they don't release the final episode for consoles.

The only reason I ask is because my PC cannot handle HL2 well and seeing as I have a xbox360, I thought it would be best to grab it for the console.

Will it be released for consoles? Most likely. It's possible that it could be downloadable content, but don't expect it to be free.

I am planning ahead because I am deciding if I should get the orange box in a few days and wait until ep3 releases as a standalone package/downloadable content or wait until next year and hope that there will be a repackaging of the orange box with ep3.

Valve might do a HL2 threw Ep3 package, wouldn't put it past them. But why wait a whole year?

It would irritate me to no end if they made EP3 either in a 50 dollar package with HL2, Ep1, Ep2, Ep3, TF2, Portals, <insert some other game here> deal, or 30 for the stand alone. Ugh.

I already completed HL2 on my buddy's computer so I am in no hurry to pick orange box up. However, I do want to play Team Fortress

Holy crap..I hope it isn't a year and a half before ep.3 comes out...They have been working on it since they finished work on ep.1...A seperate team of people worked on ep.2 while ep.1 was being made and when it was finished they started work on ep.3...As far as I aware...
It would be amazing if they actually got the next episode out on schedule....A miracle even....
Imagine if they bundled HL2 ep.3 with Left 4 dead...man...I think I just came in my pants a little...lol

well, im hope'n they dont release it in an "all-in-one" package they same way they did the orange box. I would love to get more background info on aperture science and other things from the half life universe past. And dont forget about Left for Dead. I can see ep3 come'n out packed with a copy of that for 40 bux for a pc copy. I really dont see ep3 for consoles out side of downloadable content becuase those who play console games are used to full blown massive games and a short 8 hour game would'nt do much for them and would not encourage them to spend 60 bux on a package that would include only hl2,ep1-3 + left for dead, which sounds good, but if you've already got hl2+ep1and2 then it just doesnt seem worth your money. thats how i see it anyway. plus, you gotta remember that half life has never really been a big console game to begin with.

why is it commercial suicide? existing customers already have most of the games in the bundle, so they're not ripping valve off. crazy value for new customers ensures a larger customer base. sounds like a good strategy to me.

Pissing off old faithfuls with yet another copy of HL2/Ep1, and then now a second copy of EP2, Portal, TF2...no. I'm pissed at Valve for the OB in the first place. Should have pushed the black box MORE than the OB.
