HL2 Fires

I know the fire thing has been discussed and plenty about it being able to spread and stuff. Did anyone else notice how when the zombies caught fire and burned for a little bit, in the new e32004 video, instead of dying out it was more like they just turned off and dissapeared?

I read some where that you can extinguish fires yourself, but it didnt say how or anything.

Aha, i just noticed that. The fire just switched off.

haha see thats exactly what i noticed when i watched it just now, it was kinda lame cuz ive heard a lot about it being able to spread, but no official word i dont think, and the walls are wood so you would think if any thing it would catch or at least slowly burn out not just flick off

The gamespy/ or gamespot playtest said that buildings did caught fire and they had to evacuate.

So what do you do if you have to go through a hallway, but you accidentally set the whole thing on fire? Wait for the fire to die out? That must be pretty amazingly boring.

Will a burnt corpse look how its meant to? The vid doesn't look promising.

Zombie on fire, zombie dies as though its clothes just came out of the dry cleaners with skin as fresh as the day his headcrab made him.

Fire generally seems to get "blown" out when there is another huge explosion nearby. This is as it should be. That isn't what happens in this clip (because it dies before the next explosion) but I doubt they'll leave this in as an oversight since it would be such an easy fix.
