In it's latest issue, on sale now, PCFormat has an article entitled "The Half-Life 2 Mod Index", featuring renders, concept art, and short summaries of a multitude of announced mods, including No More Room in Hell, Insurgency, Forsaken, Cold War: Melting Point, Valandil, and others. [br]If you're interested in the upcoming mods, be sure to check this issue out![br]Thanks to forum member Kirkburn for pointing it out in this thread.

Valandil?

Is it just me or 2 mods here (simmo & Sidewinder) are in two mods there...

Quick question. (yes I'm a noob and proud... for now)

I know that the CS mod was given away free although you could eventually buy it. So once HL2 is in our hands, will these mods be available as a free download, or will one have to pay to play these promising looking mods via Steam or other means?

Because if they are free, I'd be willing to donate money if the game is good enough.

mods are ALWAYS free (as far as I know), otherwise it would be called an add-on. But add-ons are made by the developers of the game or they give the task to another game developing company (just like Blueshift and Gearbox).

Hmmmm, they could have had a better choice of modifications. Its hard to say really atm since not many mods are been productive.

IchI: who would you have had? And keep in mind that I didn't list all of them... there are more in the actual magazine.

Latest issue of PC zone UK has a 2 page spread of Project hull breach as the headlining article for the online section aswell. but i dont have a scanner...

Wonder if a new Day of Defeat will be avail for HL-2...

Even though it showed our , err, I mean your mod as Cold War Melting Pot =/

I tried to edit this in, but anyhoo - it would be nice to have a bit of acknowledgement (see my prev. post), if anyone's reading :) No mods seem to be responding to me, nor can I find many!
Much love to you all, KB

There, I gave you credit

Cheers

Yes ... pity my name isn't Kickburn! :) I'm not a violent man, but I like burning churches (you may have to be scottish to understand this, i'm not; but just so people realise, that was a joke) ... Fun, isn't this!

Noooo, don't eat me!

Anyways, all this gives me an idea - how about a thread in some part of the forum to list all recent appearances of HL2 & mods in magazines, split into country of origin (one that can only be posted to by mods/whatever) ... it would certainly help people find the right one.

I can't wait to play the HUGE ammount of mods for HL2.
