I haven't seen many of the mods on the huge list actually come out yet. I have seen the in game pics, but doesn't that mean that the beta is out and ready to play?

That list is really outdated.

Most don't have a beta; but a few do.

SourceForts ( http://mods.moddb.com/4747/ ) is in it's 1.3.2 release and is my FAVORITE released mod, though I'm a bit biased, being on the team and all.

Garry's Mod ( garry.tv) is out, and fun, but single player.

HL2 CTF is out, but SF is better

I love servers with a Long (25 minute) build time, You can be so creative.
I once made a fort with several levels, and one with a trick path you follow, and if you followed it it would trap you and make you easy bait for a nade kill. heh.

I've been wondering...
How can a simple mod like HL2CTF...be so freaking laggy?
Every server I go on has pings in the 200+s.
I have DSL, So I know it isn't just me.

Do you know what people. I’m getting tired of DBZs mods. I mean , they have so many games of the DBZ (don’t get me wrong, its Cool!).The point I’m trying to make is that I would like a another anime mod.

Something that will go good in Half-Life 2 storyline, in other words, mixing Half-Life2 with an anime. Like Ghost in the Shell, or Sailor Moon, or Akira, or Green Legend Ran , or silent Mobius.
I have good storylines that can go good with HL2, of any of these animes I named.

I’m going to give you a very brief storyline or a very watered down storyline of Ghost in the Shell (the Half-Life mod)

The story will take place right before the Combine invasion, you will be doing you average, day-to-day thing, until some "terrorist" (Combine spys) somehow contact the Combine, and yes, most Combine invaders are going to be Combine clone troops, military fanatics, and super soldiers, and I think the auxiliary force will be later on (even though they’re not the elite).

The Combine auxiliary force are conquered people that joined in their free will or for what ever reason they joined.

The other stories of the other animes I’ll give you some other time, and more details of the story of Ghost in the Shell (the Half-Life 2 mods)

This is just to give you all an idea what I am talking about…

So would you say people?!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!?!!

Oh yes, one more things I almost forgot to mention, now that will be good if you can play as the Ghost in the Shell chick, and some other main characters or a Combine you pick the person in the game…

I'm perfectly content with another DBZ mod.
Even better if it's on the source engine.
I don't want every single mod coming out to have SOMETHING in common with the HL2 storyline...That'd just be silly.

Ok thanks... I might give this a try... I just hope it wont take me 4 or 5 hours to download it.

The download is ~8 mg I think... but find the map sf_fieldtrip too, because that's the most popular non-official map.

However, with 56k you'll probably have some lag problems because of the amount of props it uses.

My favorite is a 4 or 6 player server (2v2 or 3v3) on sf_fieldtrip, sf_testmap, or sf_abandon, with 25 minute build time and 15 minute fight time.

I'm a really good player, too, I've never lost a game and I've played probably over a hundred by now.

The Beta of a new mod called "The Hidden" was just released, it is on the front page of halflife2.net still, I think. It's pretty fun multiplayer, with one player being "The Hidden" and up to 8 marines trying kill him. The hidden is camoflauged like the predator and sneaks around, while the marines have guns. It can be pretty scary, especially when you see a friend get killed and then lose sight of the hidden...also, getting killed from behind can scare the willy out of you too. Overall, it's a good start on, and I am excited to hear more about it.

I did not say every single mod...I ment to pick out wich one or two you prefer...thats all.

Do not know about you, but lots of people I know think it sons cool…and it can get other none Half-Life fans or people not heard of Half-Life to be Fans…
