HL2 MP WILL NOT BE CS2 OR TF2.

It would be absolutely retarded of Valve to do that. Why would TF2 or CS2 be included with HL2 when they could CHARGE EXTRA FOR THEM AS SEPERATE GAMES?

Gabe has already said many a time that TF2 won't be HL2's multiplayer. He DID say no comment when asked if a new project of the CS team would be HL2's multiplayer. Thats pretty much all we know.

Well, I don't have any inside information, but if it is true that Valve still plans on offering monthly subscriptions on Steam, they need a lot of content to justify this. There for I could easily see TF2 and a bunch of other stuff offered over the next few years.

we have been told that TF2 will not ship with HL2 in the same package, they will be sold seperatly their release date is unknown.

Of course the funny thing about TF2 is I suspect when it comes out we will be under whelmed. I think Valve compared the popularity of TFC with CS and decided that they had been barking up the wrong tree. Don't get me wrong, it will be fun enough, like the multiplayer for RTCW, but I doubt it will be anything truly groundbreaking. In fact when RTCW, Tribes 2 and all the other multi player games came out I thought to myself Valve better publish soon or their lunch will be eaten by others. Valve apparently though the same thing.
