HL2.net ....alternate site/look/thing?

I googled something, and hl2.net came up as the first thing. I found it funny, opened it, and this showed up..

That doesn't look right, is it another form or hl2.net for low bandwidth?

It's something google does with many forums as it's a low resources version basically. It's not an option on these forums. Search other forums and you'll see similar things.
