Thanks to G-Dub for putting it up. I have been playing here almost exclusively the last couple of nights and had a blast. For the uninitiated: 195.242.239.178:27015. More regulars = more fun.
 
Definitely. TF2's fun factor jumped ten fold after I started playing with some of you guys on the 24 man server. For the longest time, every time I tried to play, both servers were empty.
 
ya i like the server as well,besides them being in uk :( o well 150 ping isnt that bad
 
450 ping right now! :frown: Will probably drop around midnight, as was the case yesterday and the day before.

But yes, great games.

Scout rush ftw by the way. We had a couple of real quick rounds.
 
Heh on Granary (I think) I suggested my team went straight for the central CP (they were previously stopping and setting up defenses). I got there first as demoman and saw 3-4 scouts jumping around. I thought to myself "no way I'm surviving this". I was right o__O Har to aim at the little buggers, especially with the framerate dropping a bit with much action on the screen. ;)
 
Meh, I'm still getting the hang of the new maps, have mostly been playing my beloved Dustbowl.
Fun games last night though :)
 
Thanks for the reminder, I had been checking for players on the HL2.net servers (even with a ping >300 I wanted to at least try) but there was never anyone on - there is 7 people on now I might join in.
 
Bugger, not unplayable but still too annoying to play with. Oh well at least I got to frag Llama, Shakermaker and Psycho ;)

That certainly was a tonne of fun last night but was slightly ruined by a little too much pointless voice spam from certain parties ('wow' ''ooh' 'heh') rather than meaningful ('heavy capturing B' 'Spy as Pyro'). :dozey: . No doubt more ownage will occur tonight ;)

Wooo! I just played my first TF2 game on here. While I was fairly sucky all things considering(especially if it compares to my TFC and TF days), but it was a blast! I love it!

We did get a perfect defense on Gravelpit though. That was awesome.

This is true. A lot of people get arsey about coms, but it's pretty much essential to use them (and effectively) and that tidy result was due to some effective calls by the team, as to what was happening and where. :D
 
I'm going to try and set my mic up. I wish I had a gaming headset. :<
 
Yeah. I know.

I just tried my Eyetoy as a mic, I can't just talk into it, I have to shout into it. :(
 
i got a headset from world in conflict collectors edition :cool:
but i never use it because ive always used typing but i might use it in a tf2 game someday

I recommend considering a Sennheiser headset as they have excellent sound quality and are of robust design and will last, the 151 series is my choice, but the 131 series is a good cheaper alternative.

Yeah. It's made by Logitech so all you have to do is google, "Eyetoy Drivers", and force Windows to use them.

Someone is going to have to guide me through finding the servers. I only found CrysomeMore in the US of A.

Go to Steam, press on the Servers icon and go to favorites. There you press on the 'Add a server' button. You then proceed by entering the IP adress. For example: TF2 UK Pub #2, the server this thread is about, has 195.242.239.178:27015 as an adress.
