Hl2.net under pressure?

Today it seems that hl2.net is running like a turtle nailed to a table, it's must be due to E3 but I also seem to have an image less menu system in mozilla (slow loading background images?) and the hl2 trailer isn't working.

Please note no turtles were harmed in the making of this post.

Site is working fine my end, all people are doing is complaining they can't get to the site. I'm dling gigs of stuff in the background and having no problems, and I am on NTL which isn't known for stability at the best of times. *shrugs*

I think the worst part was when the Source code was leaked. It was like 5000+ persons on the server.

I've noticed the site has been slow for about 3-4 weeks now, but yeah obviously a little bit slower the last couple of days.

there is a addon for vb that lets your server (forums) not let people post/view/surf in the forums. check out http://www.gpforums.co.nz for an example (I think its a addon unless the admin of the site coded it himself). It stops the massive flow of people surfing the forums when it could cause a problem on your end. It could help im not sure its upto you guys.

Btw, if you do visit that site, scroll to the very bottom of the page and in the bottom right corner you should see a percentage.

well i have a 3 gig connection and it was lagging for a while when I had a check up on things yesterday.
