It's not true...upon further inspection of the screen shot the image wasn't actually from Half-Life.com but another site that cloned the news page of hl.com.

Someone posted the link to the hoax and it was a fake hl2 site with saying GOLD on it. Its all fake. Just look at the address in the address bar.

The HL2 release date is false, as indicated by the non-half-life2.com URL in the address bar and as stated in the myriad of other threads on this topic.

The CS:S release next week, is indeed real.
