HL2 release info

Why cant we agree that its coming in early november? This is a FACT people. There is absolutely no valid rebuttal to this statement. No need to quote me. In fact, please close the thread after my post because there is nothing left to say. Good day.
 
Lets just wait and see if anything preloads again tonight...if the pattern continues then it'll *hopefully* be the last third of the game and a sign that the game'll be out sooooooon :p
 
Valve will release a RC on september 15th...
I don't know, I think valve is a little more reliable than that. In other words, I'm expecting them to RC sometime next month.

No it is speculation, like most of this thread. The valid rebuttal is that you have no proof to support your fact, please realize how ridiculous your position is before you embarass yourself further.

Embarass? I'm posting on a HL2 forum. That would be impossible. We can atleast agree that its not coming out in september.

Yes September is in the possible but extremely impropable category.

With Valve November 2004 is just as likely as April 2005, so thats why until we here from them no one knows.
 
Half-life 2 is very close, and i mean, close enough for two UK mags to review it. Whether or not the reviews will appear in the next issues, i dont know, but its in a very good state at the moment.
 
I'm just looking forward to this game finally being released. I've waited a few years so i can easily wait a few more months.

I'm sure this game is not going to be available before November. Looks like a lot of the Retailers are putting the date back again. But so what. zIt's closer than ever!!!

If any of you remember me, i was the one who posted the thread about HL2 being put back about a week before it should have been released last year. lol, that was a mistake putting it up in the forum :p But this time i don't want people telling me to DIE!!! like they did last year.

Plus, i see a lot of guys outting up post giving very little evedence of it going to be released this month. I very much doubt that. I doubt it will be released next month. 5th of November is the new date set on my calendar and ill be counting down untill then :)

By the way, the website i order my games off is http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=RM00327 . Yesterday it was set to Sept 25th, today it has changed. Exactly what happened last year. So please don't doubt it as much as you did last year.
 
Yeah, I think it's safe to say that anyone who is still hoping for September is going to be let down. I'm looking to October...but after all summer is already over so I could wait untill November

There's very little evidence to support November either. Fact is, it could very well still make September (unlikely), but October is far from improbable. Hell, Dawn of War went gold today and will be out in 10 days. If Vivendi wants this month, they will release this month (provided they get a good RC on the 15th), regardless of what anyone on this forum says is likely or possible. People spouting that it IS November or it IS September are full of crap. That's pretty much all there is to it.
 
Yeah i agree, i'm hoping for an October release, but i dont always get my hope up too high.
 
You guys know there is NO release date yet don't you? (and i mean valve internal)

I also don't see what exactly makes november such a "realistic" date? What evidence is there?

There isn't. That's my point. There's no evidence for any date.
 
Well, theres evidence that it won't be released this month. Which retailers gonna put the release date back so far? They knew it was happening last year BEFORE everyone else knew. So why not this time.
 
There is no evidence, Valve dont' know the release date yet, what makes you think retailers have any idea.

When i say exactly the same, I mean as in a delay.

Surprising though, if i would have given any tiny bit of evidence of a September release date, im sure the replies wouldn't be the same.

Why do you say that it's really close? because thats what Valve is telling us? Yeha... well they told us the same thing last year, and many times after that.

Well im not sure but if you go to Steam Network Status something is definetly happening but it can also be another CS update.

hello there. i'm new here. just joined up so i can moan about hl2 not coming out on time too.

i'm annoyed. grrr.

Are the 'release' dates not slightly official? i mean Valve didn't deny that it was coming out in september when everyone was saying it would do. They should have an official statement on their site saying 'there is no release date confirmed. and it won't neccessarily be out soon either'
I pre-ordered it off amazon thinking it was coming out in sept.. then amazon said 'being recieved by our supplier novemeber 5th and will reach you 7th -10th' or something very similar. how can they say that if nothings confirmed?

I'm betting it won't be out till next year. i've cancelled my order
 
welcome to the forums.

well, tbh, valve can tell US what they think we want to hear. when actually, there IS a release date, and they just dont want to say anything so there are no more hackings (i will just wanna die of that happened again, and i hope if anyone gets caught that they die a slow death...), in other words, security reasons.

there are loads of questions that valve just havent bothered answering, and i think they're kind of turning their backs on us...
