Hl2 Specs Ineed To update!!!

Please Can some one tell me if these specs are good enough to run hl2?

Athlon xp 1900 233mhz
tyan radeon 9600 pro 128mb
356mb ram
Or should i update to a 2800 333mhz processor and 9600 xt

Assuming this isn't a joke...
HL2 probably won't run on anything slower than 1GHz (1000 MHz), and I would recommend at least 512mb of ram.

Spitty, the minimum spec is 700MHz, 128mb RAM, DX6 graphics card (anything like a TNT2, GeForce 2 etc.) or better.

I thought it was said it could run on a machine as "slow" as a 700mhz?

You wont get all the eye candy but it will playable.

Technically you might be correct, but I would feel bad for anyone who tries to run HL2 at that speed.

We can't really say, as HL-2 isn't out yet.

And to go hypocritical, I hope my P4 1.6Ghz will be enough. With me 512 MB PC-2100 and GF4TI4600, it should be alright for medium-high detail in DX8.

I would "assume" your amchine should be fine. You might miss out on some "eye candy" but it will run. As one other said if you lok around the forums there are some specs on it somewhere.

An Athlon XP runs at 1596mhz (1.6ghz)
It will be fine, 9600 pro is great too.
I would get more ram though.
BTW What motherboard do you have?
Do you know the model?
