HL2 strange crosshair

i'm having a very very strange bug in my half life 2.
It seems that te fonts, that half life 2 uses for the crosshair and the displaying of weapons in your HUD is not working... look at this screen:

Does anybody know how i can fix this?

i know it has something to do with the font, becouse as you can see in \half-life 2\hl2\resource
there are 2 fonts that contain those sprites.. very strange, becouse the fonts look good to me, but in-game, it's wrong :-S

There's another post in the general forum about this.
Basically, you had a "Half-life" font installed.
You need to remove that font and install the one in the valve directory in it's place.
