HL2 substance won't work!!

when i open hl2 substance, it works, but when i start a new game, or choose a lever, and even load a map with console, it comes up with an error after loading. whats going on? i have hl2, and substance works on my, crapper, laptop.

I do not really like HL2 : S becuase the sound syncronization is off.

Man, I totally disagree.
I've been having big fun replaying HL2 with xdiesp’s Half-Life 2 : Substance mod.
I'd recommend you wait for the 1.0X release, that’s coming any day now, and try it again.
You'll be glad you did.

I like it but the load screens are longer than HL2 because they do not know how to properly compress everything to its full extent

i tried it but it runs like sh*t and i never really bothered turning settings down,i'd like to give the ravenholm section a go as i hear you get a lone female squadie to come with you
