Hi all,
I guess this problem has been raised a million times already and I really hope you can help me too.
Every time I try to run Half-Life 2 through Steam it says "Launching the game" then pops up the loading screen, but that one is directly disappearing again. No error message, nothing.
I tried running CSS which works fine. HL2 isn't though. I tried everything, from reinstalling, to checking the game files if they are valid - I'm totally clueless.
My system:
EVGA 680i Sli
C2D E6600
8800GTS 640
2GB DDR2
OS: Windows XP Sp2
P.S. I am running Zonealarm, but I always exit it when I try to start css or hl2, so that shouldn't be an issue.
