I pity the foo' with an xbox... I hate it.. how can you play on that PC wannabe.... its not even fun!
Even if HL2 does come out for Xbox its going to suck.... Any PC title on the console sucks specially HL. And you wont be seeing any mods for the XBOX version.. so why even bother its just a pain in the ass

I doubt Valve is handling it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Gearbox is handling the port. They've had a ton of experience with the Half-Life series and ported Halo from the X-BOX to the PC, so they have the knowledge. So it really shouldn't take away from the PC version, although I'm sure the X-BOX version will suck comparatively. Consoles are great, well not the X-BOX, but in general consoles are great - but they suck at FPS games.
Halarious? is that a new disease? I haven't vaccinated against it hope it won't catch on.
About the Xbox, yes let's bash the hell out of it shall we? yes it's true it's a PC wannabee for smacktards who think installing drivers is the hardest thing you could ever do on a PC. It's a console with nice graphics that will be outdated say: next year. You can't upgrade a console, you can only give it away to charity or to your retarded nephew. And I don't like charities... So do me a favor and don't buy an Xbox lol

I think it would be hard to make an Xbox game out of a DX9 game... Xbox is pretty old compared to modern hardware. Powerfull yes, but still pretty old. Have to cut quality everywhere... HL2 on Xbox wont look as good as HL2 can look on a PC. And lets say in a year, it will still look the same, whereas anyone with a PC could have made it 10x prettier by upgrading in the meantime. For example if you run it now on a Ti4600 it might equal Xbox, but if you then upgrade to NV40 or R420 next year... Heaven

I can't use an xbox controller so I'd rather get HL-2 for pc.

Playing HL2 on 733 Mhz (is that right?) and other old hardware can't be fun. And i hope they include a mouse because a FPS game without a mouse is like a car without steering wheel IMO. (Yes i've played some FPS games on consoles) But some people like to play FPS games on consoles so it's good for them HL2 is coming out on XBOX.

i have a valid reason for hating the xbox. after quitting cs for various reasons, i played the sofmp test...then bought the game, str8 for the mp...nothing else matched it...the hit detection was perfect, patches wooohooo...then raven sold the title to M$ and ported it to xbox.
this means no more official patches, no more official content...the mod community sucks, and the community is now dependant on orange smoothie for updates.
they sold out a growing community, and imo the best mp out there for the pc. so the xbox users can play it with their clumsy-ass gamepads.

Wrong! It will effect because its like taking care of two babies instead of one! Thye should stick with the PC community only. Its the same concept as classroom sizes. The less students per teacher ratio the better a kid has a chance to grow since more time is spent on individual students. Having multiple platforms is like having 40 kids in a class and some kids may be ignored or not given the attention they need.
Simple as that, Valve... Keep things simple please.

I would think they would release the xbox version with single player only and leave out the online component of game. So once a the teacher is done helping the second kid it can go back to it's best student.
I think the xbox is a fine system and you guys are missing out on some good gaming action /shrug

if mod compatability comes with the xbox one and live online play obviously then I will definatley buy it for those lil games before bed or 4 hour depending on your mood
