I have lost track of how many times I have been asked how I did something, been accused of cheating or been told "I just started playing a week ago". Consequently I have given serious thought to creating a "HL2DM for No0bz" video series (and potentially website).

My ideas range from video tutorials including "Intro to HL2DM", "Advanced Techniques", "Weapons basics", "Weapons advanced", map specific tutorials and bloopers. All these would include footage, tips, etc. from "guest instructors" as well as my own stuff. Perhaps even some humorous transitions like goofy Gary's Mod skits relative to the topic. If it progresses as far as making a website, then some damage stats, example cfg files, command lists, etc. I know a lot of this stuff is out there already, but not generally all in one place.

What I want from you is input. Good idea? stuUupid idea? What would you like to see in a specific video? Your ideas, suggestions and any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Being the nice guys that you all are, I'm sure that there are plenty of you who are just itchin' to help a no0b out, so what do ya got? Huh? Speak up. :E

Btw, thanks in advance.

I think it sounds kinda neat.

It would be nice to take demo's of a good player, then break down what they are doing - how they are moving, what weapons they are using, how they are approaching defense and offensive tactics. If done right, it could be a fairly good entry point for new players - more fun than reading a website, or bugging other players with questions.

Servers could even post a link to something like this in their 'Message of the Day'.

That would own, if it had a glitch explotation gide.

I love exploting glitches in muti-player games.

Precisely.

This is why I wanted to employ several different people's vid's in the tutorials, because we all have little tricks that one person alone could not cover.

I like the way you think.

I don't want to promote anything that could be defined as cheating. If we did this we would have to do a seperate video specifically labeled exploits.

So anyone have some material they want to contribute? I don't wanna be the only guy looking like I'm showing off, lol.
