HL2E1 retail yay/nay?

Do you get HLeath Match and all the other offers you get on steam if you buy the HL2E1 retail?

Also, will you have to pop the disc in to play HL2E1?

Why pay Retail when I can get it straight from them, without waiting 14 days for a box. Plus having to pay extra S&H charges, and taxes.
I have a Cable Modem, so I'm all for directly threw Steam.

I bought through steam. But I have some friends who are getting retail because they don't have a card, and their parents won't let them use theirs.

I reckon that if you tried, at least a few people around here would have been willing to send you the preload files through the post, but hey anyway, you get a box and we don't

It was slightly cheaper for me since I didn't have to pay any Canadian taxes online. About a $1.50 cheaper.
