HL3 confirmed and not long to wait !

June PC gamer's part 2, confirm's valve's efforts now turning toward HL3,

Gabe said something in the area of them working on it already, and stating that this time instead of 5 years in developement because of the main base 'source engine' being set up, HL3 wont be long away after HL2's realease, he didnt state exactley how long, but he whitingly said 'in a hamsters life' which I guess isnt very long, something like 1 or 2 years along the line..

also noticed two new screenshots , one with two combine and an APC both combine are harrassing two C17 bystanders, one is on the floor hurt, the other up against a wall being searched. the other a different angled shot inside the Jails.

they state that valve are planning on implementing some intresting new stuff. and an obvious graphical improvement will be instore .

to some it is to some it isnt, most importantly they say it wont be long to wait after HL2. and thats the main point.

I think that HL3 will be a straight sequel if you read through and watch the various interviews. They say that they expect to launch a few games off of Source. The technology is scalable. They are unlikely to bother developing another engine for some time.

Interesting.....however, lets all hope HL2 finally hit shelves this year.
