hi all

Someone can tell me how to have the game without shader and texture..? like a cartoon games, i see that on screen but don t now how to do
those screen are located here :

i worked my ass off on setting up a config like that,

theres a site in there someplace on how to make the graphics like i did,
but as for the picks you got, thats what im looking for too.
when i made my graphics all cartoon like i was not able to see threw meshes and windows, so it was not worth using.

Theres no huge FPS gain actually..

Anyway, try this:
go to your steam directory and find steamapps/[email protected]/half-life 2/hl2/cfg and find your config.cfg file. Back this file up in a safe directory and delete it.
This should put all settings to factory defaults.
By the way, what are your system specs?

That's messed up. It seems like it'd give you an edge though because players would stick out more with those crappy graphics.

Why would you want this in HL2DM?
It's not like a really competitive game or anything. As for using it in CS, Q3 etc I can understand why it would be useful, but HL2DM?.... :dozey: !

It really doesn't give you any noticable advantage, although I wouldn't play like that because it looks like dogshit.

The command is mat_picmip btw (or something like that). If valve decides to put the cheat flag on it, that's great, until than it's fair game and everbody is at least allowed to know the command (and it's not like picmip was a big secret prior to hl2).

Sometimes I get the fullbright error, which means every map is completely highlighted without any usual light sources or anything. I would consider this cheating as well, but I guess you could get this working via the console as well, because it sometimes happens by itself... I hope Valve fixes this soon...
