Hmm...

You should mention something about the article in the topic, and put some quotes in your post. I usually don't click links.

No exception today.

It's an interesting read about whether being dead or alive is a binary situation.

it was too long
i read the title
then gave up
=[
sorry

Short attention span?

I can see
why you're writing
like this.

An interesting read, I'm fascinated by out of body experiences. Thanks for this.

Interesting. I would conclude it as the experience being something that happens when the brain's activity is slowing or after it fires back up.

From the article:

With our study, for the first time, we have the technology and the means to be able to investigate this. To see what happens at the end for us. Does something continue?

I hope they follow through with this and finish their "investigation." That'd be great if something did indeed "continue" as they put it. I doubt it though, and it is more wishful thinking than anything, of course.

I think there needs to be more studies on DMT and the pineal gland in the brain. That is supposedly what gives people the near death experience trip.

plus you can smoke it, so naturally its awesome

I managed to speak to doctors and nurses who had been present who said these patients had told them exactly what had happened, and they couldn't explain it.

I want to hear more about this, and to have studies eventually explain it.

We should start harvesting them off of unsuspecting homeless.

It seems
like a very
exciting writing...

style.

Why do you think there is such resistance to studies like yours?

Because we're pushing through the boundaries of science, working against assumptions and perceptions that have been fixed.

What an assuming circlejerk doctor.

a more sobering (less romanticised) version of what happens when you die

depending on the way you die, blood likes to try to force its way out of the body ..so say you're dead from a brain aneurysm; the blood will most likely exit through your nose, mouth and ears. also your bowels flush themselves out immediately after gasping out your last breath ..so there you are lying on the floor blood coming out of every orifice, your pants/legs soiled with urine and feces and you're quickly decomposing ..and that's only if you're found right away ..decomposition starts immediately. My brother in law works for a company that does crime and trauma scene clean up ..they had this one case where an elderly woman died but wasnt discovered for 4 months ..needless to say the body wasnt in the best of condition when the coronor took it away ..anyways while decontaminating her apartment my brother in law says there's was still residue from the decomposed body on the floorboards ..they had to rip (by hand) what was remaining of her scalp that had gotten fused to the floorboards and ripped off the body when it was taken away

this whole romantising of what happens after you die is in stark contrast to what really happens when you die ..it's unpleasant but we dont want to deal with unpleasantness

If I had to choose between a woman and pie, I'd go with the woman every time.

That way I get multiple pies.

plus, you could get as much hair pie as you want...i like where your heads at. Literally.

Ha! Hair pie.

At first I was like...lol

But then I vomited.
