If we get in november and valve will not say nothing about a delay , they will not delay 2 weeks before the november realese ? right ?

So if we pass novmber there is a chance the game will ship then ?

Well, first of all, they never specified november. They said Holidays.

And you wouldn't think that they'd delay it 2 weeks before... but look what happened to Sept 30th.

Not to mention they've got a much bigger reason to delay now. So I don't think anybody would be surprised.

No, based on their history they may very well not tell us about a 2004 delay till days before expected release.
(by expected release date Im thinking Thanksgiving)

actually no one knows, its not that people arent talking, its that they dont know. some jackass at vivendi speculated it would be pushed back to april 04, while other places think its feb 04 and other places insist its still nov 27. valve hasnt said anything yet so dont just grab one of those dates and pretend like its the correct one like stores do, because they need somehting to put up

thanksgiving and christmas make up 'holidays' here in the US. id say the days are between Nov 27th(thanksgiving) - Jan 1st(new year) which make up the holidays. i forgot what valve said, wehther they will release it in time for the holidays, or during the holidays, and of course this is assuming vivendi doesnt know what they are talking about.

Sure, there's all kinds of Holidays! But usually when they say the "Holidays" in the US, they are refering to Thanksgiving (November), Christmas/Hanukka/etc. (around december), and New Years (January).

On topic: I hope its out in November, but I wouldnt be that surprised if they pulled another 1 week before release delay on us again. But I really do think it will be out in November.

It's not comming out nov. CZ is comming out mid-nov. If HL came out the same month, CZ would not sell.

I agree, Mr. Terminator. Though Bill Roper is an idiot, and thinks VALVe should delay until April, I'd like to conradict. Let me reiterate my friends: There will be too much competition. Star Wars Galaxies Expansion, Halo 2, Doom III, Splinter Cell 2, Pain Killer. Though I only know that three of these games to be coming out in April, that's still a lot, they'd have some stiff competition. Especially from the mighty DoomIII, Halo 2 would pose a larger threat, if it was for PC, but it's not. Bill ROper also thinks there's competition this Holiday season...HA HA HA! The closest thing to that is a sequel to a par level game, that barely impressed real gamers. Not to knock MP2 around, I'm going to get it, I just don't think it stands a chance, especially since it's being released tomorrow. We'll be holding the game before Christmas, you'll see.

I'd assume they would let CS:CZ sell for a month or two before releasing HL2. As someone already mentioned, the sales of CS:CZ would plummet if HL2 would be release at the same time, or even a couple of weeks later. If I had to guess, I'd say HL2 is out in early 2004 (if they get it done by then).
