Well, as you might have noticed, we at the staff have holiday-ified many of our avatars....lets see yours!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Alas, my image editing skills leave much to be desired. If only some kind forum member would make a Christmas version of my avatar I would be so grateful. ;( (Hint, hint)

I just used up all my Christmas cheer to slap some lights on my avatar. Are you happy now?

If some of it comes back I'll animate the lights...
 
My avatar's all Christmassy coloured now. I did it all by myself.
 
Fenric helped me make my christmas avatar... The bad part is that you probably can't tell what it is unless you saw it before it got a hat.
 
Anyone know of a good site for avatars? This one is getting awfully boring :\

fenric yours looks pretty funny, reminds me of the old guys in Ringu with the clothes over their heads....anyways im still lookin for mine..*sigh*

lol the towel heads.. damn those would have been funny ones to do, ah well maybe next year, or Shuzer might go do it.. still waiting for him to update his :D

no avatar change for me but look what i ended up wasting my time on.
i made it with a program that my calculus teacher showed us in class today. we were learning about.... umm, calculating volume when you rotate part of a graph around the x- or y-axis so my teacher showed us this program that visually shows the stuff when you rotate it. well i ended up downloading it at home and i saw this thread.... and wrote up some equations and stuff, and this is what happened:
 
I nominate fenric for creepiest avatars.

I think I might photoshop me a new one more holiday-ish this weekend :)

oh darn i just made my christmas tree look a heck of a lot nicer. ugh, i think i'm way too obsessive-- there's gonna be like 20 different versions of this thing.

a christmas tree program, lol
no actually it's a math program. you type in an equation, set limits on it, and tell it what axis to rotate it around. basically it rotates it and traces points so it shows how a solid would appear.
 
hehe, nifty. So you basically slam in a bunch of mathimatical equations? And since there is no "christmas tree" equation I'm guessing you used a bunch of circles and had the progam do its thing? or something?

I like blender more, no math :p
 
yeah i used lines and calculated equations to make them go through the right points, and then made limits so it chopped off the equation at the right point so i ended up with a bunch of cones. math sucks but christmas trees are fun.

and why did my rank suddenly change to manhack... ???

edit: ah yes, and the border on the second one just makes it look perty-er on the forums, should I add one to the first or make it thinner or something?

well after much deliberation and arguing with myself as seen in the previous post, I have decided to just do what I did. so this is my avatar now :p
