i started reading into this after running a few old atari games on an emulator.

http://www.racketboy.com/retro/raregames.htm for example.

i just wanted to hear what you all think about it, maybe list a rare game or two that you own.

i own a very good quality snes zelda: link to the past, with all the innards inc. the map. bit weak really.

If I had to pick one of the top twenty, i'd love to own Air Raid for the Atari, but that shiny gold nintendo one might clinch it in the heat of the robbery

Original CD of Azrael's Tear. Rest got lost when I accidentally burned the package with game boxes thinking it was just paper crap.

Worst day of my ****ing life.

Hard to find games =\= good....most of those games I wouldn't be caught dead with owning...

well fair enough. i'm sure some on the list are righteous trash to play, i wouldn't mind owning most

A fair few of them are great games - Panzer Dragoon Saga, Sonic, Star Fox, Metal Slug, Bangai-O. The only one of these I didn't own was the Neo Geo version of Metal Slug - and now I regret getting rid of them :/

I've got good condition copies of Secret of Mana (tear in the map :/) and Chrono Trigger somewhere at my parents house, and possbly Goeman the Warrior and Final Fantasy 6.

I've got the NES Final fantasy, as well as the SNES Final Fantasy 2. Really, some asshole sold my Chrono Trigger game/box/guide :(

My roomate has the gold-plated NES cartridge of the original Zelda.

$200 for Sonic the Hedgehog Master System NTSC? Amusing how it's that expensive when virtually everyone in the UK who had a Master System had one... but then, the Master System was never that successful in America was it? (I wonder... what's to stop someone with a PAL cartridge selling it for $200 to some stateside chump with more money than sense? I could probably buy up every carboot sale copy I can find and make a living out of that :P)

Most i've ever sold a game for (or rather, a game compilation) was the Monkey Island Bounty Pack (1 through 3) for ?60. Double what I paid for it all those years ago, though I suspect it could have become even more collectible with time.

And do you have access to it, a large mallet and good running legs?
