Holy shit! new frontline force.

Always hated the mod. Why should I give it a try now after countless versions of disappointment?
 
Because they wrote their own physics engine.

The new version is not out yet, but watch those videos. Put my damn jaw on the floor, thats for sure.

The early FLFs were good.. bit of a mix of TFC and CS, I liked it anyway :p

Actually, it looks as if they integrated another phsyics engine in.
 
the question is, does it actually make the mod more fun or is still as crappy as it was before? They had weapon physics before you know, the Specialists has them if I remember correctly, from long ago.

But this is way more advanced that that....

Only the release of version 1.9 will tell us if it is good...
 
Man i dunno what it is, but that reminds me of the meqon physics demo.

there was a mini game where you could shoot a ball at stuff exactly like in the video.

I believe it's based on the ODE physics engine...the same one STALKER is based on..

edit: Or possibly Novodex...
 
Looks cool, nice that they implemented that into the HL1 engine (but with HL2 12 days (LESS THAN TWO WEEKS) away, I don't think this will provide the team with too much useful information for when they need to port to Source if they do, well the only info it will give them is what the mass' should be of the different objects to make them feel right)

Cool :) Never played that mod though.. Never even heard of it really (heard the name mentioned but didn't bother to check anything out)
 
Wasnt there an interview on HL Radio a while back about this?

isint that...theft.. unless they bought it? wait wouldent that mean they would have to license hl from valve.. im confuzzled! :bounce:
