This music just emanates AWESOMENESS.

Also, bring up your favourite video game soundtracks. Preferably orchestral/awesome/orcish to keep in theme with Warcraft 2's awesomeness.

Nostalgic eruptions of "HOLY SHENS THIS MUSIC IS EPIC" are also allowed.

EDIT: Looking for warcraft 2 case right now lol

EDIT2: AWWRIGHT, remember the main menu music?

Warcraft II was one of the best games ever. I enjoyed it far more than Starcraft for many reasons.

I feel that every other warcraft game afterwards, warcraft III and WoW completely detracted from everything that was great in Warcraft II when it came to lore.

Just watched a gameplay video.

Oh god the sound of ogres bloodlusting used to scare the shit out of me.

God I played WCII so much when I was younger ... I haven't had that large of a nostalgia hit in a long time.

Holy shit. Warcraft II. Map editor.

NOSTAAAAAAALGIAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I say we all pirate WC2 *Because, where the shit are you going to buy it?* and Himachi it.

It's not just the music though, the lines each unit says are quite memorably as well.

work work

****. This shit is awesome.

OH GOD

I REMEMBER THIS MUSIC

/EDIT Warcraft was so much more badass in Warcraft II. It's been so long...

Didn't they re-release WCII with battle.net support?

I've still got my old Warcraft II CD. :p

Never got around to getting the b.net edition though.

I've still got my original WarCraft CD. Only being able to select 4 units ftw.

My dad bought the battlechest when it first came out, back when he was into PC gaming.

I lost everything except WC2. :(

My father got me the "Blizzard Game of the Year" box set. Had Diablo, StarCraft, and WarCraft II. Probably the best present I've ever received.

Oh man, remember this song when you started your first Orc mission: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uDM8GJa53c

****ing hell. I listened to this and old distant memories of my Warcraft and early gaming days literally came to surface and crashed into my mind, almost knocking me back off my chair. I'm serious.

This music affects me in ways I never thought it could.

Also, the Warcraft franchise in general is seriously lacking a lot of the grimness from the old games. Too much pop culture. Too much color. Not enough heads on pikes. Not enough blood and bodies getting sliced in half. I remember how nearly every unit would end up a bloody mess when they died. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll ever be able to inject that back into the series given how popular it is now.

Damn yeah, I had forgotten how badass the series used to be. Then everything got this weird cartoony 3d treatment and it all went... well, not to shit, but it got all colourful and stuff.

I know, it used to be so gritty and non-cartoonish.

WC has always been cartoony, but it also showed some carnage. Play through WoW and the most violent battles are as inoffensive as a kitten.

Warcraft 2 has aged pretty well, mostly due to the nice art design. Same with AoK.

I had a freakin' dream I played WC2...I had Ogres trying to bust through my walls of towers while I was trying to get an offense built up.

I Really gotta play this game.

It was awesome back in the day, nowadays I've been spoiled by every other RTS out there that it's impossible for me to enjoy the classics(save Starcraft but it's not that old.) any more.

I hear ya. I wish the blizzard store had WCII to download buy.
