Does anyone know of any good software to do this? I found something called StudyMinder and tried it out and it seems somewhat ok, but still a little complicated. MS Student 2006 I thought would have it so I obtained it by some other means to test it out before I bought it and it doesnt have one. I just need somethin kinda simple cause I'm not the best at just remembering and I hate writing it down because I always lose the paper/book that I write the assignment in.

So you are telling me after you write down your assignments in a notebook and after you put it back in your backpack you lose it?

No but my chicken scratch sucks arse so it'd be easier if i just typed in "CISS-247: Lab 1 Assignment" and maybe a short overview of what I have to do.

Just look for a calendar/diary application - http://www.download.com

if you have your computer on while you are doing homework, you are not doing homework

Download the Palm software and just use that. Don't worry about syncing.

Not true. All of my classes this semester are computer courses (Cisco 3/4, 2 networking courses) so I kinda have to be on my computer for Cisco, and I have to type up lab reports/documentation for my labds etc...

i wish i was like you ;(
i cant do anything when my laptop is within 20m of me :(

Just use windows "scheduled tasks" (start>programs>accessories>system tools)... and schedule it to shut down your computer whenever you have homework :) Problem sorted ;)

Mind if we get on topic and not wander off on my personal computing life. I use my laptop to take notes in class and it'd be easier for me to put my assignment into my laptop at the end of class before I shut down/hibernate my laptop so I can just turn on my laptop and go "o yea, that assignment"

You don't need software for that kind of thing. I mean, just make a folder on your desktop like "Classname" and then in it just have notepad/word documents of your notes. Its not too hard man. And if you really can't remeber, just stick em into your startup folder so that next time turn on your computer, it will just pop up in your face.
