host_framerate = screen flickering

Whenever I change the framerate in CS 1.6, everything starts flickering and I'm forced to disconnect.

Anyone knows whats going on?

No, it forces your pc to calculate ## frames per gameplay-second. However long that may take. This command is used in demos combined with the 'startmovie' command, which makes a tga screenshot of every frame rendered. This is for capturing footage from sourcegame demos. Not for gameplay.

I see. What I was trying to accomplish was some sort of slow-mo gameplay.

Still, how come it works perfectly in CS:Source?
And is there any way I can get slow-mo gameplay without the host_framerate command?
