How angry can games make u?

this thread was kinda inspired by the weird habits thread, but how mad can games make u? I'm curious as to if i'm alone when some days when i do poorly i just go off. It puts me in such a bad mood and i started using a lot of 4 letter words and getting into a rage. This only happens i guess if other things are goin on in my life but sometimes games just make me completely snap.

Sometimes I'll punch what I'm sitting on (couch, chair) when I get really frustrated because I've done one section of a game over and over again only to screw up in the same place. Happens with console games more though.

Sometimes I can get pretty mad. If the game is hard and frustrating I just turn it off after a while. But if it's a multiplayer game and I'm really obsessed with it it can result in smashing the keyboard (very lightly) and stuff.

:x I suffer from gaming madness. Let's say I play a game I usually do good in, I start to do bad I start getting pissed, start cussing n stuff y'know. I also get pissed in some single player games as well... I don't go too far but I get pretty angry.

If a game really frusterates me, i'll slam my fist into the desk *HARD* usually resulting in pain, followed by a profanity or two, and a very red, "grrrrrrr!" face :-P

DoD pisses me off. it's one of those games where you either do really well, or really badly.

i only ever get pissed off in multiplayer games. normally it isn't because of the game itself, but the morons who play it :|

I don't actually get mad playing games. But I remember when I lived in some dorms a few years ago at college we'd all get, I guess you'd say, "pretend" mad. It was a lot of fun. Everytime you'd kill someone in a game of CS you'd hear someone yell at you from down the hall. Occasionlly you might get tackled off your chair if you killed someone with a very lucky shot.

Ya, we were all a bunch of nerds. That's what you get by putting a whole bunch of engineers together.

the only things that get me mad is when 1) someone/a team is exploiting a bug/map (happens in NS alot) or 2) as soon as i run out of my spawn, some wiseass kills me, again, and again, and again... and when i ask him to stop he's like "OMGOLLOLOLOOWTFSTFUH4X!!!!!!!1111ONEONE!!!11"

PC games don't really piss me off because you can generally save anywhere. I've broken more than one console controller though.

The last game to piss me off was Alex Kidd on the Master System II. The free game that took me forever to complete. I got so mad with the game that one day I smashed the cart cover in blind rage (because you didn't have to have a cartridge in the system to play it I played it with the cover closed)

Infact I still have nightmares about rock, paper, and scissors to this day.

I can really go off at some of the jerks you see in games like Battlefield.

I can get extremely bloody angry when I lose a level/mission I didn't deserve to or for the 100th time.
In these situations I grit my teeth very hard, breathe heavily and mutter very naughty words. I've caught myself balling a fist on more than one occasion...

When I used to play video games with my older brother, whenever I killed him on Goldeneye, or something, Or beat him on a racing game, he'd hit me with the controller or something.

PC games...i can get aggrivated but rarely get mad. The two games that make me the most angry are Ghosts and Goblins on the NES and any of the Mega Man games. I got past the first stage of G&G once...and died right after. I am truly convinced that game is impossible to beat without using some kind of cheat. Im a big Mega Man fan, but the games can be downright frusterating. Jump too far or not far enough and youll hit a spike and die, or dont jump at just the right time and you fall down a pit. And the jetboard sections in MM8 are just there to piss you off. :flame:

Ive lost 2 keyboards due to spilling liquid on them due to being pissed, and my mouse cuts in and out when it wants too because of all the times I've slammed it against the side of my tower.

When I used to play Quake 2 I would get insanely pissed off, and often shout, smack the chair I was sitting on, kick my desk and/or punch my monitor. I've still got that monitor so it's survived my relentless beatings quite well.

The only time I get pissed off is when my computer/console crashes when I haven't saved my progress (more in work than games). I've only cracked a controller once (I usually hit the couch cushion with the controller but I was sitting on the wood floor at the time) but it still works.

I can remember getting very angry at some games, can't remember which though... long time ago, just have memories of absolutely smashing my fists against the drive bays of my old 486 sx25 ... I can't remember the game but I remember feeling cheated by an AI or end-ov-level baddie, something i'd worked for ages to get to, and cheated out of winning by some stupid glitch.

Who said computer games don't make us violent? They should see us when we get cheated out of our gaming successes by bad programming.

most recent: today, playing spider-man 2 for PS2... this one challenge... climbing to the top of the statue of liberty in 30 seconds... and it was SO badly programmed! cause the statue is all curved and stuff... i kept falling off cause they didn't program where you could climb or something... so pissed of... i eventually beat it, tho... w/ my new controller

Only time I get majorly pissed is with Natural - Selection or any other online game when my 56k spikes to 1000 ping JUST as I hear an enemy comming aorund the corner towards me and he/she/it ends up getting a cheap kill. Its just so unbelivably irritating, I'd rather get slapped in the face constantly for 30 minutes with a used condom.

I get pissed off in console games. I'm actually a very non-violent person towards poeple and other living things... but if I own it and it isnt organic and I'm pissed, it's probably about to be broken... I punched my stereo once that both casset decks broke and a bunch of the buttons (on the cd player part above it) were lodged inside of the inner shell of the thing

Anyways... as far as games go, only on console games because of something annoying.

Often you can find me yelling things like "F*** YOU BOMBERMAN, IF YOU WONT THROW THE F***ING BOMB THEN YOU CAN GO F*** YOURSELF!#!?>" followed by me punching the wall which results in pain, more yelling, more anger, and more punching.


Strangely I only get that angry with games. (The cd player just happened to be near by)

I don't usually get very mad. The only times I get angry are when I'm having a bad day anyway and then I keep getting killed over and over by people who suck. Doesn't happen often, though.

I dont get angry at games, cause thats all they are, games. Theyre supposed to be fun. people need to relax and not throw their monitors out the window or snap their keyboard with their bicep when they take two damage from a fall or somethin.

Cheaters and rabid TK'ers in games like CS or Joint Ops just give me this sense of helplessness because I do all I can to make them stop but it doesn't work.
