How big is HL2 Preload

I finished DLing (DownLoading) HL2 via steam. I'm getting about 3.34 GBs when I look at the folder where most likely Half-life 2 is stored. Is this the size of HL2, or do I have to DL more stuff all I did was click on the Preload HL2 Now button on the Steam site and it began DLing HL2. Will it begin again if they release another Preload?

We don't know for sure.

HL:s should be coming along with some other misc files IMO.

I'm guessing 2 more.

mine is about 4.04 gb right now.. but if the game is 6 cd's 1 DVD i think there's more waiting

mine is 3.38 gb...and hl2 says it's done preloading.

i only counted the "source shared" and "counter strike source" non-beta .gcf files.
