Well, honestly. Do you spend endless time playing the games of half-life, dedicating to the forums and making ideas up for the next half-life, writing up and thinking of theories for the universe of HL?
Or do you go on the forums once a month, play the game and not the DM, rarely but when you do, its for a long time?
Is Half-Life 2 like another world to you, another part of your brain, all to itself, or another part of your gaming life, or even just a game ?

It's a separate but (very important) part of my gaming life.

I'm active on a few gaming forums, but those are for general discussion. I visit here daily for HL2 news and discussion exclusively, and I've never done that with a game before.

Look at what I do here and then look at my post count - you get the idea :)

I played the games a lot, and it's actually quite fun to puzzle over the plot. Because it's like a puzzle, only with shooting and aliens.

Not very. I played HL1 like 2 times... The story stinks, I like Halo's better. The books for Halo were even funner to read.

You read halo books?

As I was shot in the back and died I pressed the X button to reload the level. I was pissed.. this was the 3rd time I had to reload the level.
I wonder when mommy will cook dinner I am hungry playing Halo all day.

Yes. How does me reading the Halo books have to do with my "mommy" cooking dinner? I enjoyed reading them more then I enjoyed playing HL2.

 To each his own, I guess.

how could anyone contradict that half life 2 IS just a game ?

WFT??? I guess I just never got Halo, cause I BOUGHT the game (The PC Version), but could never stand to play it for very long -- perhaps it was related to the fact that I got a new graphics card to play it on -- supposedly the best at the time -- the craptastic, ever incredible (NOT!) Gforce FX-somethin or other... It sucked SOOOOO bad on anything using PS 2.0 (especially Halo), that everything associated with it left a bad taste in my mouth. Nvidia shoulda bought all of those cards back, or gave us the next gen one without the problems.

I never actually completed the original Half Life. I could see how it was important and influential and stuff and I got my share of WOW moments but there are games that I like more than it and there are games that I like less :D

Half Life 2 on the other hand has proven much more entertaining to me however it's a waste of time getting too involved in the Universe as we know so little about it and it's a very flexible thing that may completely give way in the next games...

Ever since I came to these forums a couple of months ago, I haven't been able to stop coming back. I just enjoy this community too much. Err...but I'm not addicted or anything! No, sir! I can stop any time I want!

Yeah, the game is all right, too...heh heh.

Half-Life games and mods are pretty much the center of my gaming life - I'm pretty obsessed.

Come here every day.

Ever since last year, I have been hooked on HL. Its like a drug almost. I like to read rather than talk, but there are some topics that I feel I need to post in.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery.

I, of course, have no such problem. :D

Well, there is your answer. The PC version sucked. I like the Xbox version alot better. I was just joking anyway, I loved Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 1, can't wait for the mods either!

Well, I finished the game last night. I'm still here and I'll probably continue being here for the time being, because I want to replay the game now and look for hidden places, or places I may have passed by. I still have been having HL2 dreams. Good thing about them was that none of them were really nightmares.

I'm already anxious for the next game to come out to see what's in store for me. I've kind of been wondering if in HL3 will we finally find out what the purpose of Gordon's employment with the G-man really is for.

I've also been thinking and being creative in coming up with my own game, but so far it's just a story with no character's yet, however, it's suppose to be scary and creepy. Not gonna say much about it here, because, well, we're talking about HL2.

Anyway, for the next HL3 game I would love to see some new weapons, perhaps a tommy gun? haha, maybe a revolver? (nah, too much like the magnum).

In the meantime, I'm working on upgrading my computer again. I already have a pretty good gaming system, it just needs a little bit more.
