Mine is possibly the dumbest situation ever. When I was younger, I was getting into the gaming and internet thing, and I was thinking of an alias for message boards and what not. I decide on Masta G, because my real name starts with G, and most stupid kids such as myself liked those shitty names like "Masta".

But, me being not so bright, I did not put a space between masta and G, so, everyone called me the awkward sounding "mastag" that you see before you now.

That actually worked out pretty well. I <3 your name.

I enjoyed Opposing Force and made a spelling error. Screen name? I just like things that rhyme with Joe and pretending to be a wangster. Joe-fo'-show

I pronounce your name Mass-Tag. I think it's cool.

My name was made from when I signed up here (I was normal before this place!), I couldn't think of a name, so I just named myself Dog after the character in HL2, but I was still new to the whole forum thing (I used to use the internet just for cheats for games, games :))), and online games), so I made a mistake with my e-mail (I just put jibberish or something, I think this site requires activiation, I can't really remember), it was something with my e-mail, so I had Dog signed up, but I couldn't log in for whatever reason, I tried again, just adding a '-' to the end, same problem (or maybe it was a different problem, I dunno), then I got it right the 3rd try, so I ended up with Dog--, which is what I use for most of my usernames now.

I got it playing the original DOD. It was the first time I'd played an online game. I remember being named "unamed(2)" or something like that. Someone was trying to get me to do something using voice chat, and he was saying "hey you, go through the alleyway...hey! Unamed!"

Then the guy named "unamed(1)" asked on voice chat "who, me?"

Reply: "No, not you, the other guy! Yeah you, the other guy, go through the alleyway!"

So I changed my name to "theotherguy" to differentiate myself. I've had it ever since.

I have no idea where my name came from. I remember I couldn't think of any good nicknames for CS so I just kept switching til I found... Shamrock.

I am Shamrock.

That's pretty much what I identify with now.

And I like the -- on the end of your name. Not sure why. Accidents ftw i guess.

Dad's nickname was Pitz
I enjoyed Cyborgs and the like

CyberPitz was born.

I've had a few: mirc_ghost, computer_freak, steel_soldier, but the one that stook was Tarkus, and it comes from what was problably the first album I've ever listened to.

It's from Emerson, Lake and Palmer by the way, my dad loves those guys so I listened to this album countless time when I was like 3 years old

I stole mine from some guy I use to play ultima online with. I added a 72, because Krynn for some reason always seems to be taken on forums. The actual numbers 72 came from me just punching the numpad and keeping the first two numbers.

UT 99', thinking of a name, thinking, thinking....Ok so dungeons and dragons or somesh17 has Dungeonmaster right? so lets pimp that sh17 to DEATHMASTER, caps to punctuate. Not much later added THEE_ in front to give THEE_DEATHMASTER. I may have tried to put this name on this forum but it either didn't work (most likely too long) or I just didn't do it.

Name was originally Johnny. I could never think of anything better and my name is James so seeing as I didn't have much of an imagination i stuck with that. People started to get mistaken that my name actually was Johnny so i tried thinking of a new name .... Musk. No real great story behind it, Was thinking about guns and Muskets came to mind and then Musks. mmmm.. Musks..

I've had this since the early days of TFC, and I believe it pulled it off some logo I saw just looking around the room...tfc was the first multiplayer game I played, so I didn't have an alias yet.

My name is Sam. Stole the suffix from a friend so I could actually get the name on places.

I've been using Raziaar since I first read about and then later played Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

I basically took the name Raziel, and adapted it to Raziaar and used it ever since in Dragonrealms and beyond.

'Coz monkies are awesome.

(But the guy in my avatar is an ape

lol OP at first i thought you just misspelled "mustang" or something like that.

my last name is Gigante which means giant in spanish/italian and the 384 is just numbers that i use alot for some horrific reason.

You have a badass last name.

It involves giant pandas and copious amounts of beer.

This is the coolest motha ****a ever. Seriously. I'm not into that anime shit but this guy is pretty much Cloud 2.0.

He's a character from Suikoden II, the best game ever.

There's this drink with lactobacillus that I've been drinking for 20+ years called Yakult. Since I like it a lot people in my Japanese class, the teacher included, started calling me Yakult-sama. I just took the name and wrote it as the Japanese say it, yakuruto.

Speaking of usernames/screennames, with all the Gordon Freeman related usernames on this site, I am kind of dissapointed that not one person has used Rogue Physicist, possibly my favorite name Gordon was adressed as in HL2 by Dr. Breen.

My name is Nyoongar and whenst translated it means cool waters.

cool waters is the name of a house that i used to live in..... and i had a lot of good memories with that old house :naughty:

Oh dear, where to start with my name....

good times, good times...

I originally came up with Emporius as my username for a neopets account way back when. I fiddled around with the word emperor (I wanted to sound crisp and important), and here I am now.

Oh that is delicious. I do Chemistry.

****.

I got mine from Isaac Asimov's stories. It's the name of a massive supercomputer.

I can't remember. I think I just saw the word somewhere, decided it looked cool and would make a good username, and then used it. I actually didn't read the definition until after, but it works :D

I've been using the name Ennui for far longer than anything else, I had a string of maybe 20-30 names in the years before I switched to this one (which was three years ago or so). The only one any of you should remember is Audiophile, which was the original name of this account, and given how few people there are left from back then I imagine it's not very many of you =P plus I didn't start posting hyperregularly until after the name change.

I remember, but I had no idea that was you until now. lol

when I needed an internet alias I happened to be playing KOTOR at the time. Hazar Dakiri was the name of my dark side character which had been 'randomly' generated by the game.

I later had Dakiri dropped because it made people think of drinks.

I enjoyed the antics of the tiny squishable headcrabs in Half-Life, and thought of this oh so many years ago whilst registering for this very website! Needless to say, they didn't make a comeback in HL2 or the Episodes afaik. Damn shame.

In high school, my family went to Wisconsin to visit my Mom's relatives for some family function and we were stopping through amish country on the way back to pick up some furniture. We ended up staying an extra day or two and I missed some school because of it.

While I was gone these extra days, my friends concocted a crazy story about what might've happened to me. It involved insane amish people attacking me for listening to my cd player in their presence. The tale ended with me hacking and blasting my way through hordes of amish people with a katana and shotgun to get out of amish country.

Hence... AmishSlayer

My older brother had several old screennames that he gave to me that he didn't want when I was about 12yrs old.

My options were Zombieturtle01, Retarded3toedsloth, or Rigor Mortis

I kind of wish I chose Rigor Mortis.

Why didn't he just create you a screen name you wanted? That's what big brothers are for.
