90% of the schools here are co-ed, but something like 8 out of 10 (making that figure up) of the top schools are single-sex. Most of the single sex schools were set up in the 19th century, whereas the co-ed schools were set up post-WWII, so the single-sex schools tend to be more established and richer. I'm in a boy's only school myself
